Found vegetarian sets. Had plain tofu, green peas with miso soup and rice. Plain and satifying for me. Nicer local environment upstairs, seated on the floor. The waitress said should be 'Azuma' not 'Aduma'.

One of the best places for a traditional but unique katsudon. They opened in 1940, and it was one of the favorite places for Kabuki actors. The attention it's perfect and fastAll the employees speeches English and have English menus too. But the most important: it's amazingly delicious

Ordered sashimi for two, Jo chirashi and ramen. Sashimi was fresh and succulent as was the chirashi. The ramen was tasty with umami flavour. All for the princely sum of ¥8300.00.

Delicious food. The amount of restaurants in the area can be overwhelming when you first arrive so my husband and I just stumbled upon this place on our first night in Japan. We both left very full.He got omelette rice and I got tonkatsu donburi. Huge portions!It's a very nice restaurant with large windows and friendly staff.

Pleasant music, polite staff. They speak english, and menu is available in english. Had a pork special. It was fantastic. Great introduction to Japanese cuisine. Surprisingly reminded me of a dish mom makes at home in India. Recommend learning to use chopsticks first.

Food was so good and served quickly, had to wait a bit, but that's to be expected in Asakusa. Staff were super friendly and the menu was easy to understand with the english translations. Definitely go!

Amazing food and quick service. Staff was friendly, and they had an English menu available and could speak English too. Their two most popular dishes are around ¥1,100 and they are reasonably sized. I had their second most popular dish (the Gomoku Yasai Soba) and I had to take breaks to finish it, but it was delicious!

Didn't have to wait long for food given how busy they were. For foreigners they speak good English and have a vegetarian menu.

An establishment in its own right having opened since 1940. The Japanese food served is simple but not unsophisticated. The sashimi comes straight from the nearby Tsukiji market hence its as fresh as it can be. Other popular Japanese dishes like oyako don, katsu don, yakisoba are also very good. Service is super friendly and efficient. You won't experience any lost in translation as the staff speaks English.🙋🙆

I went there 2 times, once by myself and 2nd time with a friend. Always arrived around 7.45 before they close the line, when there is less people. I recommend you to take the katsudon, that nice piece of pork with eggs. Theirs is mind blowing, crispy outside and it match perfectly the rice. I was also seated upstairs where you can seat on the floor, really nice experience with lovely waiter.The second time however was different. Service wasn't as friendly. Katsudon wasn't crispy at all, I'd say bad? Friend took the omelette over rice, i think also average. Putting 4 stars, and I'll come again to put back the 5 stars, because I'm sure they deserve it.

The staff were very friendly and they had a nice selection of items on the menu. Raw and cooked. Small place but well run. Nice meal.

I tried one of the top 3 specialty: pork cutlet don and it’s good. I also tried the Anmitsu which is also good. They have accommodating staff. The place is easy to locate within Asakusa/Senso-ji area.

Great food! Upstairs is more traditional. FYI: The"large size" is available for most dishes. It is huge (and I'm American!)

Great food in very convienient location, within shopping district and just minutes away from local heritage sites. Meals are traditional and delicious, most staff speak english, credit cards are accepted. It is a cosy local like venue, but worth a visit if you are around.

Sooo good! We were skeptical about trying here as it’s on a busy tourist street but it was very reasonably priced and the food was great! There was a queue for a table but we only waited 15 minutes and food came out super fast.

Very cool traditional Japanese restauraunt in a good location between Senso-Ji and Asakusa station. The food was slightly expensive, but of very high quality. You sit on the floor, leave your shoes at the entrance, and the staff are very helpful.

Really delicious food and quick service.The section upstairs is cozy and quieter. You have to take your shoes off.I got the shrimp tempura with miso soup and pickles, and they provided dressing and sauces.The pickles were really refreshing and the tempura was crispy on the outside and so soft on the inside. It was a great meal! Only downside is that they don’t fill up your glass of water unless you ask.

Waitress are friendly and professional. Food is good. Capable of handling such high traffic customer flow with low manpower too.
